Meet Barbara

"I was born a nurturer. Growing flowers from seeds, raising puppies & the best ~ guiding my children to be the best they can be. I guess you can say I love helping others. In the mid 2000's, my online friends posted about their grandchildren born prematurely, ironically within 3 days of each other. The online community wanted to help, and the main response was the need for home-made items for the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). I began donating my own hand-made items. Around 2010, life got in the way and I had to put my crochet hooks and knitting needles away.  In the winter of 2015, my niece, Ali, was away at nursing school and working in their NICU.  Ali made me aware of the need for crocheted and knitted preemie hats. I began to crochet again and posted pictures on social media along the way.  It was a nice way to help others and all the while keeping in touch with my niece There has been an outpouring of unexpected feedback from people who wanted to give using their own talents.  Circle of Love was born! A group of friends who love to help others by crocheting, knitting and sewing for preemies, children's hospitals and cancer centers. I'm just someone blessed to pay it forward, welcoming you to join us in our effort."
